Neurodiversity affirming therapy that understands your wold
What you may be experiencing:
Many neurodivergent clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood or exhausted by trying to navigate a world that does not always fit how their mind and nervous system work. You may be carrying sensory overwhelm, burnout, emotional fatigue, or frustration with daily tasks that seem to take more energy than they should.
Parents and partners often come to us feeling worried, unsure how to support someone they love, or confused by communication challenges that keep happening even when everyone has good intentions. Relationships can feel strained when people are trying their best but speaking in different emotional languages.
You might be feeling alone in your experience, or unsure how to express what is happening inside you. These feelings are real and valid. You deserve support that understands the neurodivergent experience without judgment.
Therapy is a space where you do not need to mask or perform. You can simply show up as you are. Our approach is gentle, relational, and led by your comfort level.
We focus on helping you understand yourself more clearly. We explore:
• sensory needs
• emotional regulation
• executive functioning challenges
• communication differences
• identity and self esteem
• relationships with family, partners, or peers
• burnout and recovery
• navigating school, work, or daily routines
For parents and partners, we explore your experience as well. You may be grieving expectations you once had, feeling unsure how to respond during hard moments, or wanting to deepen connection with your child or spouse. Therapy helps everyone understand each other with more compassion.
How we can help:
What therapy looks like:
Therapy is shaped around what feels safe for you. Some clients need a quiet, structured environment. Others need movement, visuals, or open space to think out loud. We adapt our approach based on your needs.
Emotional Regulation and Coping We help clients notice and name emotions with more clarity. This may include visuals, storytelling, grounding, mindfulness, breathing work, or co regulation support for parents. Our focus is on helping the nervous system feel settled enough to cope, not on forcing behaviour change.
Social and Relationship Support We explore friendship challenges, communication differences, and relationship struggles. For children or teens, this may look like play based exploration, turn taking practice, or gentle skill building. For adults, it may mean unpacking patterns that make connection feel hard.
Cognitive and Real Life Strategies We use approaches influenced by CBT, adapted to fit neurodivergent minds. This can include exploring negative self talk, building coping scripts for transitions, and understanding triggers for overwhelm.
Parent and Family Support We support parents in understanding their child’s needs through an attachment based lens. We explore parent stress, feelings of grief, and the emotional load of trying to support a child while holding your own worries.
Trauma Informed Support Many neurodivergent clients have experienced bullying, medical trauma, emotional invalidation, or long term misunderstanding. Therapy honours this gently and respectfully. Nothing is rushed. Healing is guided by your pace.
Important note on scope We do not provide ABA programs, behavioural intervention plans, or formal assessments required for ABA funding. Our work is relational, emotional, developmental, and trauma informed.
Clients often share that they feel more grounded, more understood, and more confident in how they move through the world. Families often feel closer, calmer, and more connected. Partners often describe feeling more compassion for each other and more clarity in communication.
You may notice:
• improved emotional regulation
• reduced overwhelm
• stronger sense of identity
• better communication in relationships
• greater acceptance of your own needs
• more confidence in setting boundaries
• more peaceful routines at home
Therapy cannot remove the challenges of a neurotypical world, but it can help you feel less alone in navigating it.
