If you are struggling with substance use, addictive patterns, or the push and pull of recovery, you may feel disconnected from yourself or unsure how you ended up here. Addiction often carries layers of shame, confusion, and self doubt, especially when it intersects with identity, culture, family expectations, or past experiences. If part of you wants change while another part feels stuck or overwhelmed, you are not alone.
I work with individuals navigating addictions and recovery, including early recovery, relapse concerns, and the emotional weight that often comes with trying to make lasting change. Many of the clients I support are also carrying anxiety, mood concerns, trauma, or a sense of not fully belonging anywhere. We explore how patterns developed, what needs those patterns once served, and how to move toward recovery with compassion rather than judgment.
Starting therapy for addiction or recovery can feel intimidating. You may worry about being judged, pressured to commit to a specific outcome, or expected to have everything figured out. I approach the first sessions gently, focusing on safety, trust, and understanding your relationship with substances or behaviours at your own pace. Therapy is not about forcing readiness. It is about meeting you where you are.
My approach is collaborative, grounded, and non judgmental. I work from a harm reduction and trauma informed lens, helping you understand emotional triggers, internal responses, and cycles that keep you feeling stuck. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening coping strategies, and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been lost or overshadowed by addiction.
I offer in person and virtual therapy and have weekend availability, which can be helpful if your schedule feels unpredictable or recovery support needs flexibility. If you are unsure about reaching out, we can start slowly. Therapy with me is not about fixing you, but about supporting sustainable change, self trust, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself.
