Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)Hi, I’m Lorenzo.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, manage stress, and create meaningful change in your life. My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and rooted in genuine curiosity about who you are and what matters most to you.
Many of the clients I work with are neurodivergent, including teens and adults with ADHD or Autism, and are looking for a space where they can feel genuinely accepted and understood. Some are newly diagnosed and trying to make sense of what that means for them, while others have spent years feeling different without fully understanding why. Together, we'll work toward building self-understanding, self-acceptance, emotional regulation, and practical strategies that support your everyday life.
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own experiences with mental health within my family and my passion for real, meaningful conversations. This work gives me a deep sense of purpose and meaning, and I value being able to walk alongside you as you move through challenges and discover what helps you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.
My first goal is to make sure you feel safe and comfortable being who you are. From there, we'll explore what's been getting in the way of your peace or progress. I'll help you build emotional regulation strategies, strengthen executive functioning skills, and develop self-compassion, all through a non-judgmental, client-centred approach rooted in trust and understanding.
I also work with many teenagers who are struggling with anger, emotional regulation, executive functioning, motivation, or accepting a diagnosis of ADHD or Autism. For teens, therapy offers a space where they don't have to pretend they're okay or feel misunderstood. Together, we'll focus on understanding what's happening beneath the surface while building practical tools and confidence that extend beyond the therapy room.
If you're a parent, you may be feeling worried, frustrated, or unsure of how best to support your teen. It can be difficult to know whether they need more structure, more independence, or simply someone outside the family they can talk to. My goal is to create a space where your teen feels respected and understood while helping families better understand the challenges that often come with neurodivergence, emotional regulation, and adolescence. I also enjoy supporting siblings who are learning to better understand and navigate life alongside a brother or sister with ADHD or Autism.
During our first session, we'll take time to explore what brings you here, what's been hard, and what's been helping, even if only a little. Together, we'll identify your goals and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship is where real healing happens, when you feel seen, heard, and accepted for who you are.
My approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and trauma-informed, culturally sensitive practices. I also have experience supporting clients in crisis, including those struggling with self-harm or suicidal thoughts.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure where to start, I'm here to help you make sense of things and build practical tools that support real change, at your pace, and in your own way.
