Taylor Desormeau
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
BA, MACP (In Progress)Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves. Perhaps you've spent years putting others first, questioning your own needs, or carrying the impact of difficult experiences that continue to affect your relationships, confidence, and sense of safety. You may find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, struggling to trust yourself, or wondering why certain experiences still feel so present.
I am especially passionate about supporting women who are healing from trauma, abuse, unhealthy relationships, and experiences that have left them feeling disconnected from their voice, their worth, or their sense of self. Together, we can explore how these experiences have shaped the way you see yourself and others, while creating space for healing, self compassion, and meaningful change.
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non judgmental. I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore both the challenges you are facing and the strengths you already possess.
Alongside my work with women, I also enjoy supporting youth and young adults navigating anxiety, self esteem concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, and relationship difficulties. I have experience working with individuals impacted by trauma, substance use, violence, and mental health concerns, and I recognize that every person's story is unique.
My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and person centred approaches. I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, helping you better understand your experiences, develop practical coping strategies, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, but you do not have to navigate it alone. I would be honoured to support you as you take the next steps toward healing, growth, and reconnecting with yourself.
