Alaina Clarke
MSW/RSW,
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist,
& Clinical SupervisorAnxiety, panic, and obsessive thoughts can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in patterns that are difficult to break. You may find yourself constantly overthinking, questioning your decisions, anticipating worst-case scenarios, or struggling with what many people describe as "anxiety about the anxiety." Having provided counselling and therapy for over 14 years, I am passionate about helping people understand how anxiety operates, the grip it can have on daily life, and how to begin loosening that grip so life feels more manageable again.
I am also dedicated to supporting individuals who may be experiencing the effects of narcissistic or emotionally unhealthy relationship dynamics. If you find yourself questioning your reality, walking on eggshells, overanalyzing conversations, or feeling emotionally drained within a relationship, you are not alone. Therapy can help you better understand what is happening, rebuild trust in yourself, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with your own voice and sense of self.
Postpartum mental health is another area of dedication in my practice. I believe it is important that new parents have the opportunity to openly discuss the challenges that can accompany this phase of life, understand how anxiety and depression can manifest in different ways, and know that they do not have to navigate these experiences alone.
My priority is to provide a space that feels welcoming, safe, and collaborative. My work is informed by training in CBT, trauma reprocessing, attachment, anxiety and mood concerns, relationship issues, family dynamics, and workplace stress. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life and that therapy can help create greater balance, self-understanding, and emotional well-being.
In addition to providing therapy, I offer clinical supervision to therapists and students. I have completed specialized training in clinical supervision and combine this training with over 14 years of clinical experience to support therapists in their professional growth, case conceptualization, ethical decision-making, and confidence as clinicians.
