A little about me

Sometimes you're doing everything you're supposed to do, but it still feels like you're barely keeping up. You might be managing work, relationships, family responsibilities, and the everyday demands of life, yet find yourself feeling anxious, exhausted, or overwhelmed. Maybe your mind won't slow down, you're constantly worrying about what comes next, or you've started questioning why you don't feel like yourself anymore.

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic or obvious worry. Sometimes it shows up as overthinking every decision, struggling to relax, feeling responsible for keeping everything together, or lying awake replaying conversations. You might recognize that your thoughts are making things harder but still find it difficult to quiet them.

Stress and burnout can gradually take the enjoyment out of everyday life. You may feel emotionally drained, increasingly irritable, disconnected from things you once enjoyed, or guilty for needing a break. Depression can feel similar, leaving you struggling with motivation, withdrawing from others, or wondering why everyday responsibilities suddenly feel so difficult.

Life transitions can also leave you feeling uncertain about who you are or where you're going. Whether you're navigating a career change, relationship difficulties, grief, shifting family dynamics, or a period of uncertainty, change can bring up emotions that are difficult to understand.

Sometimes what you're experiencing goes beyond the situation in front of you. You may notice familiar patterns in your relationships, the way you respond to stress, or the expectations you place on yourself. Therapy can help you manage what you're feeling today while also exploring why these patterns may have developed and what might help you move forward.

You deserve more than just getting through the day. You deserve to understand what you're carrying and find ways to feel lighter.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, have the right words, or arrive with a clear idea of what you want to work on. We can begin wherever you are.

I enjoy helping clients look beyond the surface of what they're experiencing. Anxiety, low mood, burnout, and relationship difficulties can sometimes be connected to patterns we've developed over time, expectations we've placed on ourselves, or experiences we haven't had the opportunity to fully understand. Exploring these connections can help us make sense of why certain situations feel so difficult.

At the same time, understanding why something is happening doesn't always make it easier to manage in the moment. You may need practical ways to calm an anxious mind, cope with overwhelming emotions, establish healthier boundaries, or navigate everyday stress. Together, we can develop strategies that feel realistic for your life while making room for deeper reflection and personal growth.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and attachment-informed and strengths-based approaches. Rather than expecting you to fit into one particular method, I adapt our work to your experiences, needs, and goals.

Relationships are another important part of my work, because so much of our lives involves connecting with others. Whether it's with a partner, family member, friend, coworker, or even the relationship you have with yourself, these connections can influence how you feel, communicate, and understand your own needs. You might find yourself avoiding difficult conversations, struggling to set boundaries, feeling misunderstood, or noticing the same patterns showing up in different relationships. I enjoy helping clients explore these experiences, understand where those patterns may come from, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and the people around them.

Above all, I believe meaningful change begins with genuine connection. Whether you're looking for relief from anxiety, support through a difficult period, or a better understanding of yourself, we'll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful to you.
