Katelyn Beveridge
As a therapist, I am passionate about helping you navigate some of life’s most painful and personal challenges. My practice centres on supporting clients struggling with eating disorders—including anorexia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, chronic dieting, and body image concerns—as well as those dealing with anxiety, depression, dissociation, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. I also work with individuals and families affected by aging-related concerns and dementia.
Having gone through my own personal journey in therapy, I understand how important it is to feel safe, understood, and supported. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are—where we can make room for your story, your emotions, and your goals.
In my work with eating disorders and body image distress, I support you in healing your relationship with food and body using a compassionate, weight-inclusive approach. Whether you’re dealing with restriction, bingeing, compulsive exercise, body shame, or chronic dieting, I work collaboratively to help you build self-trust, self-worth, and a more peaceful relationship with yourself.
I also work with you if you feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, low mood, or emotional disconnection, often shaped by perfectionism, past trauma, or caregiving roles. In life transitions—whether related to aging, caregiving, or health changes—I bring a holistic and relational approach that honours both grief and growth. I also support families navigating the emotional and psychological complexities of dementia and cognitive decline.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centred, drawing from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), emotion-focused therapy, and humanistic frameworks. I tailor our work to your unique needs, offering practical tools alongside deep emotional support.
At the heart of my work is a belief in your capacity for healing. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and develop strategies that empower you to live more fully, with self-compassion and resilience.
